Arkay is a real string winding company. In fact, we not only make our own strings, we also design and build the very machinery that our string are made on. Of the hundreds of string brands that exist in the market today, only a very small number are actually winding their own strings. Companies that do not have their own factories and machinery cannot guarantee the consistency of their products or the freshness of the strings that you will receive. Many times they will even get their strings from several different sources which means that the strings you buy may be different each time.

Perhaps the most important machine in the string making process is the Ball Ender. This machine determines if the string will slip or stay in tune. Yet, relatively few companies own their own ball ending machines. These brands are forced to have their ball ends done by a third party. Our exclusive quadruple lock system means that our strings will tune up quickly and stay in tune longer.
